FileMaker Experience:
Comfortable
Bio:
Originally from Houston, Texas, I have lived in Southern California since 1987. I am married to my husband, Jim and we have two wonderful daughters.
In 2007, I began designing my first FileMaker file as an in-house developer for a Substance Abuse Treatment center. I had experience in DBase III+ and Microsoft Access.
Necessity is the mother of invention. As the accountant, I had a lot of issues finding the information that I needed to close my books every month, so I designed a database to track all of the client financial information. This grew, as most projects do, to include all intake information, client charting, reporting, insurance billing, basically every aspect of the business. I retired from that position in 2021.
I now work on some selected projects as a consultant which affords me time to do other things in my life that I love, like gardening, line dancing, voluneering for a foster kids camp, build houses in Mexico, foster puppies, and spend time with my family.
My MBA is from the University of Houston.
