As developers, we are presently leveraging AI for guidance as well as utilizing AI tools from within Filemaker for both development and client workflow. We know that Filemaker will be adding more AI tools for us to use in the near future. These are steps in a progression. If we look to the not-so-far future, a scenario can be envisioned where developers could be replaced by AI tools altogether. There are services out there NOW that can build simple web apps with database back ends that eliminate the need for developers whatsoever. Is this a threat to our livelihood or do we need to rethink our purpose? Also, can the Filemaker model fit the upcoming new paradigm?
