Bio:
I have been a FileMaker database developer since 1986 (when it was distributed/developed by Forethought/Nashoba Systems). I have done PHP and Perl development for web applications, LiveCode development for a variety of stand-alone applications, worked as a UNIX system administrator and DBA on a variety of SQL database servers including Oracle and SQL Server. I have done development with many SQL databases including (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite, Access, Firebird, Sybase, DB2 and PostgreSQL).
FmPro Migrator is one of the tools I have developed to automate the conversion of Visual FoxPro, Microsoft Access, MySQL, SQL Server and COBOL into FileMaker Pro. Most recently, I have been using public and private open source LLMs to perform automated code conversions between different development environments.
Some of my interests include using LLMs to perform more automation tasks and working with FileMaker objects via the clipboard.
As a Christian I enjoy daily Bible study/research and environmental topics including solar energy and solar vehicle mobility.
