Arrange > Groups — Social Engineering a Viral Future for the FileMaker Community
Presented By:
We all know the FileMaker platform should be more contagious than it is, so let's enter the Los Altos lab to discuss what gains-of-function (features) lend the platform to going viral, and what social engineering increases exposure to the platform, to new products & techniques, and to productive developer relationships.

If this community wants to transition from "slowing the spread" to "speeding the spread" of the platform and our ideas, let's take an epidemiological approach to this topic like a conference of mad scientists. Bring your ideas, even the dangerous ones. Hazmat suits optional.

Under the microscope: developer/user groups, mentorship, training, outreach and evangelism.

------------------------------------------------------

Developer-centric groups, whether in person, on Zoom, (Facebook, YouTube or other) livestream, Meetup, or other forum-based events, have declined since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are only about 12 regular meetings in the US these days. Even the largest and most popular groups only have 30-40 attendees on any particular date. Let's discuss how we can, together, revitalize the larger developer community. We all need a robust platform presence in the world for Claris related application development.

Technology, financial dynamics and social conditions are changing rapidly in our world. Many of us have been long-time coders, with our work centered around the FileMaker platform. Some of us our younger and new to this platform, and we are watching our world change quickly. We want to have confidence in our road map of life. We now have new tools, such as JSON, APIs, and AI related technologies, all of which are changing the work environment, faster than we can either anticipate, or adjust. It is time for the Claris-centered community to come together and have honest, direct and meaningful conversation, with the intention to enable us all to survive, prosper and have confidence in our presence, during these challenging times.

Come join a good number of both senior and junor developers, as we all share our experience, knowledge, strength and concerns. We want to build a sense of both personal and community confidence for the road ahead. Bring your concerns and best intentions, and let's build a roadmap together!

This shared document is available before, during and after the conference. It is so we can all share/edit/update information that should help us all.
